Al's Finger Licking Good Soul Food

This place ROCKS with Soul Food. Home cooked, friendly, and wish I lived here as this place would be my new Go-To for Real Food! Just like my Grandma use to make and in many cases, sorry Grandma, better. The lady that runs the place is a sweethearth and that explains why her food is just as pleasing as she is. The world is Blessed to have individuals like this cooking in food that makes your heart, belly, and face Smile in Enjoyment. Keep Cookin!!! This was our first time eating here and we will definitely be back! The food was fresh and so good! The service was great! We enjoyed ourselves! Anything you try will be phenomenal! Definitely give this restaurant a try!

My vegetable plate of collard greens, fried okra, fried onion rings, and green beans was fantastic. I’ve never had fried okra that good before, and I’ve had it all over the south. I’ll be coming to Al’s Finger Licking Good Food again and again.

The absolute best fried chicken I’ve ever had! The Mac and cheese and potato salad were delicious as well. The smother pork chops were incredibly moist and well seasoned. Fried okra was flavorful and not greasy. The pulled pork and ribs were perfectly smoked, not overpowering and still very moist. We will absolutely be back! The only small draw back was that it was very warm inside the restaurant. The owner came out to check that everything was good and the wait staff got our entire table of 6 people’s orders correct. Such a great dinner!

The picture is worth a thousand words I’m a southern man and this was a pork chop sandwich made to perfection. I love that I didn’t know how to dress the sandwich so the staff said you want the works then!! It was flavorful not overpowering just real good pork chop cooked to order and the okra was a great portion size and tasted really good. We were looking for something good and close to the ports this did it. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We will eat here every time we come back!!!

Food was delicious! I had the smothered chicken with Mac & Yams. My husband had the smothered pork chops, greens, blk eyed peas... everything was delicious! I love that it seems like a family business, the little girl who sat us down was so sweet, the guys were all great. Made you feel like you were eating with family.

If you're craving soul food in Tampa Bay, look no further! Al’s Finger Licking Soul Food is where my heart (and stomach) belongs. The chicken has me in a delicious chokehold, and the collard greens taste just like Grandma used to make! Paired with a side of apple juice, I’m instantly transported back to my childhood. This place is pure magic!
